About Zhi
Zhi grew up in Shandong, China, where he developed a love for chemistry. He studied chemistry at Wuhan University for his undergrad and then moved to the U.S. to get his PhD in biochemistry. Outside of the lab, Zhi enjoys art, trying new food, and hanging out with his pets, Cashew and Noah.

Zhi’s research focuses on vaccine adjuvant discovery, where small molecule immunomodulators are used to fine-tune T cell differentiation and function, aiming for vaccines to offer better protection with fewer side effects.
